"Alberta Comics: Home" is a collection of short comic stories that won the Alberta Book Publisher’s award for Best Illustration, and for which I was proud to contribute the cover and book design. For our next volume Hartley Rose is joining the editing team alongside myself, Alexander Finbow and Emily Pomeroy, and the theme is Love. It debuts September 2025.

What happens when all the illustrations for the letters of the alphabet combine as you go? They transform into cute-but-creepy monstrosities!

Wait for it…

Just Happy To See You is a mix of bizarre comedy and a captivating autobiographical sequential art in which a breadcrumb trail of punchlines connects the dots between singing bougainvillea, poorly thought-out pandemic guidelines, and murderous clones.

Grotto 13 is a zine I produced, exhibited and sold at the opening for Planetary, the inaugural exhibition at the then-new location for Contemporary Calgary, formerly the site of our Science Centre. It was produced during an artist residency called Collider.
A fetal development colouring book chronicling each phase of a tiny human's journey from conception to birth. Includes a humorous scientific glossary. Convenient travel size. As this wee one changes the womb around her changes too, into a dreamland!

The primitive knot being absorbed into an adorable tail bud in "Alice In The Womb."
Alice In The Womb.

Coloured with Prismacolour pencilcrayons.

Original artwork for Figure 29, fourty-four days, in a Moleskine sketchbook, with a Micron 005 pen. Originally drawn early 2010.

ABC Monstrosity is a colouring book for grown-ups to share with kids. Every letter introduces a fresh creature or object, and with each turn of the page that subject is combined with the creatures on every page previous, so that the resulting monstrosity is ever more complex and amazing! Available on Amazon and Etsy.

ABC Monstrosity has a Recto Verso cover. Flip it around for 123 Monstrosity, and find out what happens when you combine ten ordinary groups of objects, adding both horrifying and hilarious embellishments all along the way. Available on Amazon and Etsy.

An open spread from the book featuring the last page of Debra King and Naomi Fong story “Arrival,” and the first page of “Invader” by Nick Johnson and Maria Stoian.

The book includes 224 pages comprised of 43 stories by 58 different creators, each connected to my home province of Alberta, Canada.

The as yet unnamed, most recent coloring-book, in progress, 2015.
